The work is going well here. We have had a lot of success in just one week. The spirit has been so strong, and we have met so many people. We actually have five people who said yes to baptism, so next month they will be baptized.
So in the Philippines it is easy to get baptisms, but hard to get true conversions. So the requirements here are to go to church four times in a row, if they have wow(word of wisdom problems) they need to stop for two weeks. One of our investigators who we talked to for about ten minutes came to church, and she is eager to learn. I am so excited to see our investigators progress.
I know that the Lord has truly blessed while we have been here. When we got lost, we found people who knew the way. When we were hungry we have found cheap food, and when we were tired we had the electric fans to keep us cool.
Dad, so you know that you always talk about having the original chicken sandwich at McDonald's? well, in the Philippines they have it, so I was able to try it and it was delicious.Instead of McDonald's, they call Mcadto's. I have had the chance to try so many new things here so when I get home I can cook some Filipino food.
In spite of having very little, I have never met a more gracious and happy people than in the Philippines. They realize what is truly important: friends, family, and Jesus Christ. If they have don't have all they want, at least they have the necessities.Well, I just want to say that I love and miss you all, and that the Lord is with all of us.
