This week it has been raining all week, because there has been a typhoon in another island. So there has been lots and lots of mud, so the crocs are really a lifesaver. There are four of us in our apartment, but there is an abundance of ants in our apartment, because Kalibo is notorious for ants, and they even get into our filtered water spout sometimes. Just like Jenny Adams said, it's very important to put your toothbrush in the fridge. Actually, I had a little war with the ants this week.Since it has been raining, it's been very muggy, and very humid in the house. So the ants(red ants, uggh) decided they wanted to build a nest in our bathroom. So I wake up at 6:30 as usual, and go do my morning routine. They decided to swarm, and red ants like to bite. So like the saying goes, if you got ants in your pants, you do a freaky dance. So, I had to get the broom, and sweep them outside, and just like holy water detracts vampires, we put bleach around the doorways of the bathroom and to outside. That was a lot of fun in the morning, but let's just say that we conquered against the ants. World War 1- victory goes to the sisters.
As far as the internet connection goes, it really depends on the internet cafe. They will have internet, but some internet cafes don't have the capability of sending pictures. I don't know why, it really depends on the cafe.
I guess it would never really be girls camp if it didn't rain, right? Wow, the Lord really cares for each of us that He was able to keep their sod safe.
Did you know where Bishop and Sister Maez are going on their missions? While I was in the MTC I talked to a senior couple that was going to New Zealand on their mission, and their purpose was to preserve all the records so they could be indexed, or in other words a family history mission. So much fun. I know that you like family history, so that could be an option.
I can't believe that Kaitlyn Gotchy, Timothy Gittins, and Bryant Stewart are already in the MTC. But, the work must go on, and I believe that they will really bless the people in America.
Well, we have had some set backs in our work. We have had quite a few people drop us. Or rather, the way in the Philippines is just to hide from the missionaries, and one of our other investigators basically flat out told us that she doesn't need to read the Bible or the Book of Mormon because she knows how she can be saved. Some people are just stiff necked and hard hearted, but the work will go on. The field is white and ready to harvest. We just need to find the places to plant.
Love you and miss you,
