Sorry I didn't update the blog last week, chatting with mom and dad.
Anyways, things are doing great here. Last week we were on a rut, and we felt like our area wasn't progressing. But, we went on exchanges with the sister training leaders, and our area has improved so much.
This week there has been a lot, a lot, a lot of rain here. There was a typhoon in Manila, but we just received rain. Especially on Thursday, it rained all day, and there was some flooding in our areas. But, the Filipino's are very resourceful, and are prepared for rain. Our apartment was safe, and the only trouble we had was to be a little wet while we were proselyting. The Lord truly protects his missionaries and his people everywhere, especially those in Manila right now.
We have four prospective baptisms here: Michael, Pj, Arra, and Mary Chris. We contacted them while on exchanges, and they truly are progressing. It's amazing the miracles that the Lord can work in a couple of weeks for those who are willing to change. Michael just needs to quit smoking, and right now he is only smoking one a day, which is a vast improvement since we first met him. Pj is very smart, and is very engaged in our lessons, and Mary Chris and Arra are college students who are very receptive to the gospel. We are very excited to see them progress even more, and to be baptized on September 26, 2015.
And if not, I know that the Lord has a plan for each of us, and maybe it isn't the time to harvest now, but to plan the seeds for other missionaries.
A mission is and never will be easy, but I have never been more blessed and challenged at the same time. But, the Lord has a plan for each of us, and his is the best plan.
